Adtoi Participation In Travelworld 2005 In Mumbai
{ From 24th To 27th February 2005 }

TRAVELWORLD 2005, India's largest and only business to business event for Indian and international travel trade was organised by Indian Express Group (IEG) in partnership with Interglobe at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai from 24th to 27th February 2005. Dr. Wilfred De Souza, Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister of Goa was the Chief Guest of the function.

Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) being one of the Trade Associations supporting the event was invited by Express Travel & Tourism to participate. A complimentary booth measuring 9 sq.mtrs was provided to ADTOI to promote and bring awareness of its activities among the visitors particularly of travel trade. With the support of Jet Airways, Mr. K.M. Balasubramanyam, Administrative Secretary was deputed to participate in the event. As per the feedback received the travel trade fraternity who visited TRAVELWORLD 2005 showed keen interest in the activities of ADTOI, a national body of Domestic Tour Operator and assured their support.

The Organisers of the event also invited Mr. Jyoti Kapur, President, ADTOI to participate in the event as their Guest of Honour. Mr. Kapur attended the inaugural function on the 24th February. In his address he thanked the organisers of TRAVELWORLD 2005 for organising a mega event like this which will largely benefit the tourism industry in the country. He focused on the domestic tourism, backbone of the Tourism industry and explained its great potential which need to be tapped by each state to bring welfare and prosperity in the country.
